DESCRIPTION:

Also known as the Bottle Fly, Blow Fly species develop in meat or animal carcasses but can also develop in dog excrement or garbage. They are most active on warm sunny days and primarily rest on cool cloudy days.

CONTROL ADVICE:

Implement proper sanitation measures like cleaning garbage containers and dumpsters, and also moving such containers as far from buildings as possible and making sure that their lids are kept closed. Exclude flies from migrating inside the building with properly fitted doors and windows.
