Sow Bug
SIZE: 1/2″
COLOR: Gray
DESCRIPTION:
Sow Bugs are more closely related to crayfish than insects. They feed on decaying matter, frequently invading damp basements. They may also infest potted plants.
CONTROL ADVICE:
These bugs are found primarily in areas with high humidity, often under rocks, logs, and leaf litter. If there’s an infestation indoors, the moisture levels inside are too high, so attics and crawl spaces should be well ventilated. Leaf litter should be removed from the exterior of your yard, mulch should be less than 2″ thick, and visible cracks should be filled. Planters should be kept away from windows.
ACTIVE SEASONS:
